In Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), a foot hold serves as a non-invasive "listening station" for the practitioner to tune into the client's body's subtle fluid rhythms and interconnected fascial web.

The practitioner applies a very light, stationary touch to the feet, with no manipulation, massage, or forced pressure.

The feet (or ankle) holds allow the practitioner to perceive primary respiration, slow, subtle fluid tide, and tension patterns rippling through the whole body.

This neutral contact helps ground the client, signaling safety to the autonomic nervous system and allowing deep tension to naturally release.

You remain completely dressed in comfortable clothing while lying on a treatment table. You might feel gentle warmth, a melting of tight tissue in the legs or lower back, or deep relaxation.
