Today’s First Aid CPR AED class was all about family, friends, learning together, and being prepared to help when it matters most! ❤️🩹
There’s something special about seeing families and friends come together to learn lifesaving skills—not because their job requires it, but because they simply want to know what to do for the people they love. 🙌🏽
And just look at this AMAZING group! 📸😍 They brought great energy, lots of laughs, great questions, and a willingness to learn!

After a full day, I finally made it back to the office to finish up several AHA HeartCode® BLS Skills Sessions and one full BLS Renewal! ❤️‍🩹💪🏽
By the time we wrapped everything up, I was officially clocked OUT! 😅
And then this morning… we were right back at it with BLS and NRP! ❤️👶🏽
Busy days, late nights, early mornings—but we love what we do at PumpLife CPR Plus!

🚨 INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT — PATRICK TORRES! 🚨

You may remember us recognizing Patrick as one of our Texas/New Mexico instructors — and this week, he made the trip to Las Vegas to renew his AHA BLS Instructor certification! 👏🏽👏🏽

What I really appreciate is that Patrick took the initiative to make sure his instructor credentials stayed current and his skills stayed sharp. With 31 years of experience as a Firefighter and EMT and teaching BLS and Heartsaver since 1999, that says a lot about his continued commitment to education. ❤️

And today, Patrick didn’t just renew — he stepped right into the classroom and taught BLS!
The class was AWESOME! 🙌🏽

Experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and still willing to learn, renew, and stay up to date. That’s what being an instructor is all about.

I’ll be sharing some videos from today’s class because Patrick was definitely in his element! 🎥❤️

Good Tuesday Morning from PumpLife CPR Plus! 💜❤️
Today’s BLS class was a little extra special for me — for the first time, I had a FULL class of my peers! 🙌🏽
We had a room full of CNAs renewing their BLS certifications, plus one brand-new Registered Nurse! 🩺🎉 And let me tell you… WE HAD FUN!
I’ve been a CNA for 22 years, so being able to teach BLS while also sharing some of the real-life experiences, lessons, and knowledge I’ve gained over the years made this class different.
Most of my CNA students today have only been in the field for about two years, so we had plenty to talk about! 😂 From patient care to emergencies, teamwork, communication, and those situations only another CNA truly understands — we covered it!
One thing about me: I’m always going to teach the AHA curriculum, but when I can connect that education to real-life healthcare experience, I’m going to share it. 💜
To my fellow CNAs: Never underestimate the knowledge, experience, and value you bring to the healthcare team.
And congratulations to our brand-new RN! 🎓🩺

💜 LAST CLASS OF THE DAY! 💜

AHA Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
What a great way to finish out the day at PumpLife CPR Plus!

Today’s class brought together an awesome mix of foster parents, caregivers, and linemen—different professions and responsibilities, but one shared goal: being prepared to respond when someone needs help. ❤️‍🩹⚡

One of the things we value most about our training is making it relevant to the people sitting in the classroom. Each student received detailed guidance on how First Aid, CPR, and AED skills can apply specifically to their everyday lives, workplaces, and professional responsibilities.

👨‍👩‍👧 Foster parents — preparing for emergencies involving children and family members.
🤝 Caregivers — building confidence to recognize and respond to emergencies involving those in their care.
⚡ Linemen — reinforcing lifesaving skills for environments where serious injuries and sudden emergencies can occur.

We don’t just want our students to leave with a certification card. We want them to leave understanding when, why, and how to use what they learned.
Another great class in the books! 💜👏

🚨 BLS IN ACTION ALERT! 🚨

🩺💜 New nursing students headed to a clinical setting near you!

Today’s students are learning, practicing, asking questions, and preparing to step into the clinical environment eager to learn and ready to assist. We’re proud to be part of their journey by helping them build a strong foundation in high-quality BLS and lifesaving skills.

And to the experienced nurses and healthcare professionals who will meet them along the way:
Remember—you were a new nurse once, too. BE KIND.

Someone taught you.
Someone answered your questions.
Someone gave you an opportunity to practice.
Someone helped build your confidence.
The way we treat new nurses matters.

Bitterness can spread from staff member to staff member—and eventually trickle down to our patients. But kindness, patience, encouragement, and good leadership spread too.

So when that nursing student walks onto your unit nervous, eager, and ready to help, remember what it felt like to be new.

✨ Teach them. Guide them. Correct them. Encourage them. And most importantly, be kind.

Because today’s nursing student could be tomorrow’s nurse caring for you or someone you love. 🩺❤️
