Fun Fact : you were born knowing how to do ‘breathwork’ 🌬️

Babies instinctively are belly breathers and use their diaphragms correctly.

It’s the stress, anxiety and trauma as we age that causes us to adopt a shallow style of breathing up in the chest.
It’s a safety mechanism put in place by your nervous system to brace for danger.

When you try breathwork for the first time it may feel uncomfortable because you forgot what deep belly breaths feel like.

But your body didn’t forget. ✨

After a little practice, deep breaths begin to feel relieving. It doesn’t take long for it to become your default breath again.

Just because you don’t have 60 uninterrupted minutes to meditate, doesn’t mean breathwork won’t work for you.

The main thing I stress to my clients is that you should customize breathwork to work for YOU.

Everyone’s schedule and capacity is different. And your own schedule will change many times depending on the season you are currently in.

If you have just 60 seconds or 5 minutes daily to practice deep belly breathing, you will notice the calmness set in.

If you are in a busy season, start here with breathwork:
1. First notice when you are short of breath, chest breathing or holding your breath.
2. Interrupt this default with 5 belly breaths in a row.
3. Start checking in with your breath multiple times a day.

Soon deep breathing will become comfortable and your default breath.

Save this as a reminder if it resonates.

A sacred space where this community gathers to pause and practice stillness together.

A safe space to support the nervous system and relieve stress.

A weekly routine dedicated to slowing the mind and connecting with the body.
