This weekend will be a small group of moms and teens. In between fun, humor, nature and art…We will split into moms and teens groups and work on some issues separately. The teens will be focusing on finding their true identity which is based on the truth of the Scriptures. They will do exercises and discussions, some crafts and some fun activities along with teaching. We will use their life experiences, their beliefs and self doubts and then compare them to who God says they are.

Moms will learn some new tools as they parent their kids next stage. How to change our paradigm from a child parenting style to teens who are adults-in-training.

Moms will learn through teaching, reflection and discussions. We will discover how we sometimes parent the way we were parented and how to find what God says about who we are too.

We will also focus a bit on trust and forgiveness in relationships.

It is absolutely Bible based but we will not be preaching nor is there a denominational leaning. Rather we will watch the Holy Spirit bring revelation and healing to each person individually. We will talk about Bible characters and also Gods promises.

This one hits Christians hard. Resistance is often a sign that we are forcing something down a path that isn’t paved (by God), for your future. If we are swimming upstream, we are not riding on Gods grace. We all do it daily. Many are understanding the Bible wrong—due to wounded preaching and parenting. Receive grace, motivation, discipline (correction) all from Him. He will make a WAY.

Calm parent, calm child. Regulate you, inspire the child to follow. Yelling may freeze their attention in place, but it does not teach them to listen. Grown up tantrums dysregulate children further. Our triggers are about us.
