If life feels overwhelming right now, this is your reminder that you’re not alone.

Between the responsibilities, the uncertainty, the endless to-do lists, and the pressure to keep showing up for everyone else, it’s easy to forget about yourself.

If you’re feeling stressed, exhausted, or simply mentally drained, give yourself permission to pause. You don’t have to have everything figured out today. You don’t have to be strong every moment. And you don’t have to earn your rest.

Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is slow down, take a deep breath, and give yourself a moment of peace. ✨

At True REST Float Spa, we believe everyone deserves time to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with themselves.

You spend so much time taking care of everything else. Don’t forget to take care of you. 🤍

Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder that your mind deserves rest as much as your body does.

When stress builds up, your nervous system stays switched on. Floating gives it a chance to power down. Weightless, floating, free from light, sound, and gravity, your body can shift out of fight-or-flight and into a deeper state of calm.

Give yourself an hour to reset this weekend. You deserve it.

We’re often asked whether the salt content in our water is damaging to hair.

The truth is occasional exposure to Epsom salt is generally not a major concern. Nevertheless, rinsing your hair thoroughly with fresh water afterward and using conditioner can help prevent dryness. Fortunately, every room at our spa is equipped with a shower, with shampoo and conditioner provided. We also provide extra large swim caps upon request.

October is a month when many people choose to reduce or abstain from alcohol and other psychoactive substances for the entire month.

Abstaining from alcohol for 31 days can have tremendous health benefits, including Improved nutritional intake, more satisfying sleep, healthier vital signs and organ function, stronger disease resistance, clearer thinking, and better control over weight and physical fitness. That said, if you believe you have become physically dependent on alcohol, quitting cold turkey is not recommended. Please consult with your doctor before undertaking such an endeavor.

If you have used alcohol to relax or as a stress reliever, we encourage you to find new and healthier ways to reduce stress during your journey. Such ways can include exercise, yoga, meditation—and yes, floating.

Floating is an excellent way to relax and has been scientifically shown to have the same calming effect on the brain’s amygdala as prescription antianxiety medication. Stress hormones are reduced, sleep improves, and your body’s flight-or-flight response becomes less reactive.

If you’re looking for other ways to have fun during , check out some of our favorite local groups such as ERA Club • Alcohol Free Events & Social Club, Social and Sober ✨, or MMC | Fitness x Culture x Impact, and see what exciting alcohol-free events they have coming up this fall! 🍁

What does 1000+ lbs of salt look like?

Epsom salt, magnesium sulfate, has been shown to alleviate anxiety and improve sleep. It helps with aches and pains, whether from arthritis, injury, or illness. It’s a hair natural volumizer and can help soothe eczema, rosacea, and acne. It helps with digestion and migraines and is good for your heart. It lowers the stress hormone cortisol and can help balance other hormones as well. Are you still reading? Cause I can keep going!

It’s estimated that up to 80% of the population is magnesium deficient, and a huge part of that has to do with farming practices and soil health, but that’s a whole other topic. The point is an astounding number of not only necessary, but integral, biochemical processes depend on magnesium, and each pod contains 1000 pounds of the stuff!

All this dissolved in just 10” of water.

A new study in Neuroscience of Consciousness followed 75 people with anxiety and depression through six float sessions.

The result: a distinct altered state the researchers named “aquahenosis”, oneness with water.

People described feeling boundless, weightless, and connected in ways that overlapped with experiences reported after psilocybin and ketamine, minus the visual effects.

The strongest results came from the group that floated longer and set their own schedule. And the feeling of expansiveness itself helped explain the lift in mood afterward.

“Floating feels like oneness.” This new study puts language and data behind something our clients have been saying for years.
