Compounding isn't just for prescriptions. It's for skincare too.

The same principle we use in medication compounding, formulating around the individual instead of the average, applies to topicals like a GHK-Cu, or copper peptide, serum. We can adjust concentration and formulation to your skin, which you can't get from a pre-made bottle.

A compounded topical GHK-Cu serum may help support the appearance of skin firmness and texture as part of a full routine, alongside sun protection and hydration.

Your gut microbiome, the trillions of bacteria and other microorganisms living in your digestive system, plays a big role in your health. It affects digestion, immune function, and overall wellness.

For a long time, microbiome testing was mostly reserved for research settings. That is changing. More functional medicine providers are using microbiome testing as a standard part of understanding what is actually going on in a patient's gut, rather than guessing based on symptoms alone.

At Premier Custom Pharmacy, we work alongside providers who take this root cause approach. Testing can offer a clearer picture of your gut health, which can then inform a more personalized plan, including compounded formulations built around what your body specifically needs.

If root-cause, personalized care is something you are looking for, we would love to be part of that conversation.

GHK-Cu, or copper peptide, is a compound your body produces on its own, studied for its role in skin collagen support and tissue repair. Natural levels decline significantly with age, which is part of why interest in topical GHK-Cu has grown.

Instead of a generic, one-size-fits-all product, a compounding pharmacy can formulate a copper peptide serum around your skin's specific needs.

A compounded GHK-Cu serum may help support skin texture and firmness as part of a consistent routine.

GHK-Cu, a naturally occurring copper peptide, has been studied for its potential to support skin texture, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Levels decline with age, but compounded topical therapy offers a way to address that with pharmaceutical-grade precision.

At Premier Custom Pharmacy, we prepare customized topical GHK-Cu formulations to your provider's exact specifications. Compounded fresh. Formulated for your skin, not a demographic average.

A single-dose treatment of ivermectin helped eliminate a parasite completely in the majority of patients treated, according to early clinical trials that changed global health forever.

It's also the foundation of a Nobel Prize-winning discovery, when researchers first demonstrated that a class of antiparasitic medications could clear river blindness infections, a disease that once caused blindness in over a million people worldwide. Subsequent research, including a landmark study published in Clinical Infectious Diseases in 2017, confirmed that repeated dosing could cumulatively reduce fertility and shorten the lifespan of the adult parasites responsible, making it a cornerstone of global elimination efforts still used today. That antiparasitic medication is commonly known today as Ivermectin.

Decades of documented research is exactly why this treatment class remains a trusted option for parasitic disease, both globally and increasingly here at home as more states expand access.

As of this summer, the CDC is tracking over 400 cases of a parasitic illness across 18 states, one of the largest domestic outbreaks in years.

Not every parasitic condition making headlines is treated the same way; this particular outbreak calls for a different approach than others like scabies or intestinal worms. But it's a clear sign that parasitic illness isn't a distant, developing-world problem. It's here, and it's growing.

That reality is part of why more states are re-examining pharmacist authority over antiparasitic medications like ivermectin. As of summer 2026, five states have passed laws allowing pharmacists to dispense certain antiparasitic treatments like ivermectin without a patient-specific prescription, with more states currently weighing similar legislation, including right here in Florida.

The reasoning lawmakers give is consistent: these are medications with decades of documented safety data, and expanding access helps patients get treated faster.

Have symptoms or questions about a parasitic condition? Don't wait, and don't guess. We're here to help answer all you questions.

Big regulatory news in the peptide space this week, and a lot of people are getting the details wrong.

An FDA advisory committee voted to recommend adding BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, and MOTS-c to the list of substances compounding pharmacies can legally prepare. This is a meaningful step forward and a sign that the conversation around peptide access is shifting.

What it means: patient demand and clinical interest are being taken seriously at the federal level, and there's now a real regulatory pathway toward legal, prescription-based, pharmacist-overseen access instead of the unregulated gray market many people currently rely on.

What it doesn't mean: this is not FDA approval, and it doesn't change anything at the pharmacy today. The FDA still has to complete a formal rulemaking process, which typically takes several months to a year. We're not offering these compounds today, and we won't imply otherwise.

We'll keep tracking this closely and share updates as the process moves forward. Schedule a free telehealth consultation to talk through your personalized health questions. Link in comments.
