Huge congratulations to our own Dr. Tazbir Ahmed on his major success at the ARVO 2026 Annual Meeting! 👏

Not only was he honored to receive the National Eye Institute (NEI) Travel Grant to attend the meeting, but he also took home the Members-in-Training (MIT) Outstanding Poster Award for the Eye Movements/Strabismus/Amblyopia/Neuro-Ophthalmology Scientific Section! 🏆

As a poster winner, Dr. Ahmed was invited to present at the Poster "Blitz" for MIT competition winners, and received complimentary membership for ARVO 2027.

We are incredibly proud of Dr. Ahmed's hard work and well-deserved recognition!

Meet OmniMouse—a powerful new AI system developed by Stanford-led researchers and trained on one of the largest collections of mouse brain activity data assembled to date. 🤯

This work spawns from a collaboration between the Tolias Lab at the Byers Eye Institute and the University of Göttingen, where researchers recently published a study finding that improving brain data may be more important to scaling AI in brain modeling than increasing computing power.
