Another summer has absolutely flown by us. School is in full swing now, so you all deserve a little reward. 💝

“What’s the difference in the springs?”

A question we’ve heard thousands of times. So, let’s talk springs. 💛💙♥️💚

Different brands of reformers will vary on the weight of the springs. In our studio we have Balanced Body reformers, so we’re going to go off of their spring weight.

💛 Yellow spring is the lightest… 5-14 lbs
💙 Blue spring is light medium… 10-23 lbs
❤️ Red spring is the medium spring… 15-34 lbs
💚 Green spring is the heaviest… 17-41 lbs

The weight range varies depending on how far the carriage is stretched out. The heavier springs focus on large muscle groups. The emphasis and attention on core stability can sometimes diminish when the springs are heavy. Having the springs lighter doesn’t always mean it’s easier. Just ask any of our clients that have done footwork on one yellow. 🤭😉

It’s 2026 and we cannot believe it. HOW??!!
