We are so excited to share all of the exciting discoveries we have made, patterns we have seen, and strategies we’ve tested with YOU!

This webinar takes place @ 7pm ET / 6pm CT on Wednesday June 17

You’ve wondered why you pull at night and not in the morning. Why certain rooms. Why certain moods. Why some days are harder than others for no obvious reason.
Turns out, you’re not alone. The patterns are real. And now we have the data to prove it.

HabitAware has data from our NIH trials and our community. What we found might finally give you words for what you’ve been living.

Join Dr. Hilary Weingarden and Ellen Crupi, Peer Coach at HabitAware for a conversation where science meets your real life. We’ll walk through the data together, and you’ll leave with language, insight, and maybe a few powerful realizations to bring into your recovery.

I created the Keen2 because therapy wasn’t cutting it. Not because therapy doesn’t help, but because my pulling wasn’t happening when I was thinking about it. It was automatic, already happening before I even realized.

That’s what Keen2 changes. It catches the behavior in real time and brings you back into awareness sooner, giving you a moment to pause and choose something different. No shame, no “just use willpower,” just awareness first… then change. This is what was missing.

Hot off the press and straight from our community 📰✨

Messages like this are why we do what we do. When awareness turns into real change… when frustration turns into hope… when someone can finally take off the wig and feel like themselves again… it means everything.

Advocating for better resources and representation of body-focused repetitive behaviors is only half of HabitAware’s mission. We’re also creating those resources.

When we made the original Keen bracelet we were thrown into a world of engineering and design that gave us a new appreciation for the technology used in therapy and healthcare. We continue to learn, grow, and improve our technology: all thanks to the Keen Family that let us know exactly where they see room for improvement! And we are so grateful for those discerning eyes, using it everyday, finding it helpful and influential enough to give thay feedback.

What tech for hair pulling, skin picking, and nail biting, do you imagine?

If YOU chronically bite your nails, pull out hairs, or pick at your skin… this webinar is for you.

These conditions are confusing for the people affected by them, and it’s difficult to identify your patterns or make careful, objective observations about them… because they are inherently so loaded with bias.

First off, these behaviors are regulating, and you might not even realize that’s what’s happening. It’s just so ingrained, you’re used to spending an hour in front of the mirror, or sitting in the car after work biting your cuticles.

They obscure your judgement because they put you in a trance-like state, or “autopilot” where it’s hard to keep track of time and you lose awareness of what’s going on outside that moment (which lets be real, can feel so good)

And then you are left with frustrating results. Bald spots, bitten nails, inflamed cuticles, scabs, open wounds.

The first place to start is building your awareness to learn your patterns. That’s quite the task. So here’s another option: learn from us. Between an NIH trial and a loyal online community, we have collected some of the richest data on BFRBs, and we want to show you the patterns that we see so that you can apply our lessons to your own life.

You’re trying to focus… maybe working, studying, or watching something… and then that thought pops in. “Just pull one.” Suddenly your brain won’t let it go. Don’t you wish there was something that could help?

This is where Keen2 changes the game. It’s about awareness in the moment. That gentle vibration brings you back, out of autopilot and out of the loop, and gives you a choice again.

YOU GUYS DESERVE BETTER!?

There’s a diagnosis for chronic skin picking.

AND IT SERVES A PURPOSE: SELF-SOOTHING

I was using skin picking to relax after school.

I didn’t have resources.

But I can give you some.

makes a smart watch that notifies you of when you’re picking, and because you KNOW you’re using it as a SELF SOOTHING BEHAVIOR (which I was clueless of) you can pause and breathe and redirect.

Also great for subconscious picking during class. And I had blood on way too many notebooks.

CUZ TELL ME WHY I DIDNT LEARN ABOUT DERMATILLOMANIA UNTIL COLLEGE….

Ridiculous….

I would spend at least a half hour every day after school in the mirror picking my face and NEVER made the connection that it was me self-soothing and unwinding.

I didn’t learn about chronic skin picking until I got to college.

You deserve better, y’all.
