Camp Summit

Camp Summit is a residential or “sleep away” camp for children and adults with disabilities.

Camp Summit is a one-of-a-kind camp for individuals with disabilities where the emphasis is on the campers' abilities rather than their disabilities. Traditional camp activities are adapted to each individual and are provided in our barrier-free facilities and implemented by trained, caring staff. Our campers are grouped by age, providing the opportunity to make friends within peer groups while ha

ving fun and experiencing new adventures. Camp Summit is located in Paradise, Texas, just north of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on 460 acres of land. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed as a Youth Camp in the State of Texas.

Did you know Camp Summit offers a residential camp session held annually in July for individuals who are deaf-blind and have multiple disabilities? 💙

This remarkable camp session is designed to provide an accessible, barrier-free experience where campers build confidence, form lasting friendships, and enjoy all the fun that Camp Summit has to offer.

Regional flights and staff escorts are available to help make travel safe and accessible, and the session is free of charge for Texas residents.

To attend, campers must be legally deaf, legally blind, and have a third disabling condition.
