100% of bartender tips will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. We’re honored to stand alongside fellow professional partners for an afternoon focused on networking, fun and giving back. 💜

Since it’s still Nurses Month over here at Gratitude Homecare NJ, we want to to recognize and celebrate the incredible nurses who make such a difference every single day. Today we are shining light on our amazing DON Joanne Halesworth, RN,BSN!!

Her compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed. Nurses are often the comforting voice, the helping hand, and the steady support patients and families rely on during some of life’s most difficult moments. We are so grateful for all that they do for our community.

What’s your go-to pick-me-up during your shift?
Decaf coffee and snacks.

What inspired you to become a nurse?
My mom was a nurse, so healthcare was always close to home for me. But what truly inspired me was when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 3 years old. We spent two weeks in the hospital, and the nurses made such a lasting impression on me through their compassion and care. They helped our family through one of the hardest times in our lives, and I knew I wanted to give back and support other families the way they supported us. Today, my son is 23 years old and thriving.

What is one thing you always have in your pocket?
My phone and hand sanitizer!

Tomorrow from 1–2 PM, we’ll have an ice cream truck at our office location,
80 Route 4, Paramus NJ!

Treats are on us! If you’re around, come swing by, take a break, and grab your favorite ice cream or snack. It’s a small way to say thank you for all the hard work and effort everyone puts in every day.

My mom inspired me to become a nurse because she’s a nurse herself, and I’ve always admired the compassion and dedication she brings to her patients.

Document everything to protect yourself and ensure the best continuity of care for your patients.

We’ve never quite understood why nurses only get a week, they deserve so much more recognition.
That’s why at Gratitude, we celebrate National Nurses MONTH.

Because being a nurse isn’t just a profession, it’s compassion in action. It’s the long shifts, the quiet reassurances, the critical decisions, and the unwavering presence during life’s most vulnerable moments. Nurses are often the first to comfort and the last to leave, advocating, healing, and holding it all together even when it’s hard.

Grateful for the opportunity to attend the Christian Health Foundation Spring Gala. Connecting with community members, supporting the mission of providing care and services & recognizing the work being done to serve individuals and families, and contributing to efforts that sustain and expand these programs.

It was a truly a delightful night, thank you to everyone who put it together and worked behind the scenes to make the evening such a success, it really showed how much effort went into it!
