I’m stepping into something that means so much to me — I’m participating again in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk (20 miles a day 💪). The first time changed me. It connected me with warriors, families, and stories that still live in my heart. And I have the courage to do it again because I am a breast cancer survivor and I believe in hope that moves, hope that walks, and hope that refuses to give up. I walk because too many people I love—and too many patients I’ve cared for—deserve a world where breast cancer is not a life‑defining chapter.
The walk will be hard. But it will never be as hard as breast cancer.
It will never be as hard as chemo.
It will never be as hard as hearing bad news after a scan.
It will never be as hard as saying goodbye.
That is why I have to do this again. That is why I’m walking. And that is why I’m raising money—to help other breast cancer patients, to support research, and to move us closer to the day when no one has to face this disease again. Thank you for standing with me, supporting my journey, and helping us push forward with courage, compassion, and unshakeable hope.

From Yuka: Food additives are now everywhere in the American food supply. They are used to enhance color, flavor, texture, or shelf life of many of your favorite food products. But some of them have raised serious health concerns — and in the U.S., many are still widely used despite being banned or more tightly regulated in other countries.

That’s why Yuka partnered with Consumer Reports to test the levels of controversial additives in 40 popular food products sold across the U.S., including many commonly consumed by children.

The results are concerning: one quarter of the products tested contained additive levels in a single serving that exceeded daily safety levels identified by U.S. or European public health agencies. Looking more broadly at the scientific literature, nearly two thirds of the products tested contained at least one additive exceeding levels of concern identified in peer-reviewed studies.

In our investigation, you’ll discover which products raised the greatest concerns, including some containing Red 40, titanium dioxide, and artificial sweeteners such as aspartame, sucralose, and acesulfame-K.

When looking for sun protection, more people than ever are looking for natural sunscreens without harmful chemicals and irritants. In fact, the global natural and organic sunscreen market was valued at $2.26 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $5.39 billion by 2033 — but natural and organic sunscreens still represent a relatively small slice of the total sun care market, which was valued at $15.47 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow to $25.63 billion by 2034. So what do you need to know about sunscreen to help you make the best choice for yourself and your family?

Discover what you need to know about natural sunscreen that contains zinc oxide vs conventional chemical suncreen with SPF.

Happy Mother Day!

If you’re looking for something special to make this Mother’s Day, this coconut-tahini carrot cake is one of Dr. Mark Hayman's favorite seasonal desserts. It’s made with almond flour, coconut flour, and tahini, and packed with carotenoid-rich carrots that support vision and immune health. It delivers on flavor without the usual blood sugar spike, and you still get the carrot cake experience, just with better, more nourishing ingredients.

This tasty recipe from Dr. Mark Hyman is low-glycemic, grain-free carrot cake made with almond flour, coconut four, and tahini.

When most people think of grief, they think of losing a loved one.
But what if grief is showing up in your life in ways you don’t even recognize? In this week’s TribeTalk episode, Mike sits down with Karin to explore a powerful and often overlooked truth:
Grief isn’t just about death. It can come from losing a relationship, a job, your health, or even a version of yourself. And when it goes unprocessed… it doesn’t just stay emotional. It can begin to affect your body, your nervous system, and your overall health.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjkvlY0EOtQ&feature=youtu.be
In this episode, you’ll learn:
What grief actually is—and why most people misunderstand it
The hidden forms of loss that quietly impact your identity
How unprocessed grief can show up as chronic stress and illness
Why “staying strong” can sometimes keep you stuck
Simple, practical ways to begin processing emotions safely
This conversation is deeply human.
It’s about giving yourself permission to feel…
To understand what’s really happening beneath the surface…
And to begin moving forward in a way that supports true healing.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like something just hasn’t fully resolved—this episode may help you see why.

Sending you love, blessings, abundance, and vitality!
Dr. Elena Villanueva
