The Women Stress Less event was phenomenal (as always- this is my 3rd year with them ☺️)! It is always a pleasure and honor to be invited back to share knowledge and give people small previews of what it's like to catch these hands 😆. I met lots of wonderful ladies whom I hope will find their way to my massage table because their backs told a story that words can't. Stress isn't just a mental malady; it manifests into the spiritual and physical, too. Chronic stress can show up as tension, pain, fatigue, anxiety, burnout, disconnection, and emotional heaviness. True wellness comes from caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit and this is what these events are all about!

A huge THANK YOU to Village of Richton Park . I am grateful for a community that pours back into its residents through events like these!

Up next: Men Stress Less! Coming soon in June!

Adulting is a scam, stress is expensive and I KNOW your shoulders have been holding grudges since January. 😅

Come stress less with me this Friday! I’ll be giving chair massages, and this event is DEFINITELY the place to be if life has been life-ing a little too hard lately… and let’s be honest, it has for all of us.

Take a few moments to pour into yourself for a change. Your mind, body, and tight neck muscles will thank you.

See you there!

Current Nabada stuff :
This week has been fuller than usual with me being a busy body, but when I'm determined to make things happen, nothing is getting in the way.

Continuous learning is imperative for me. I was that curious and inquisitive child and that child turned into a knowledge thirsty adult 😆. I have about six clients that are aged 80 and above, so it is without question that I would make sure that my training(s) stays inclusive. I also added some CE's to the reflexology repertoire.

I never stop working on looking for ways to make massage therapy affordable to the community- especially in these financially difficult times. Unfortunately, because I don't meet the criteria to receive funds from the second gig, I've got to seek out something else. If I did qualify for the grant/donation, there would have been a $25k stipend provided to allow those who needed assistance, the ability to receive therapeutic massage on a regular basis. Like I told them when I was told no, 'if I never ask, then the answer will always be no.' 🤷🏾‍♀️ There's always a way around roadblocks and I'll keep at it until I find the yes 💪

Last but not least, I participated in my second bellydance showcase at Freedom Hall! Each performance brings with it new experiences and I'm always grateful for them. I have the privilege of dancing alongside many beautiful souls and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Ok, that's it! That's the catch up! I hope each of you are doing well- on a WHOLE level. I know it's a rough time right now, but trust that better days are coming. Hang on in there ❤️

Y'all know how much I love to perform cupping 😁 I'm taking another ceu class in a few weeks on it. Cupping is one tool in my arsenal that I can't live without! And to think, I had the audacity to turn my nose up at it when I was in school for massage therapy 😆
Here's a quick reference giving more insight on how beneficial it is. Now remember, there are contraindications and everyone cannot receive and/or tolerate cupping. Always do your research and ask questions.

This is a very informative video and gives you a visual of one of my favorite sayings to you all - 'it's all connected '.

Thing 1: I love y'all and totally understand the tranquil state that follows catching these hands, which makes you forget things, but this lost & found basket is getting too full 🤣
Well, the items aren't lost because if you left something, you know where to find it. I can add to my bio: “I provide therapeutic massage and accidental storage services.” 🤣

Thing 2: Be on the lookout for upcoming gift card deals for Mother's Day (via email if you're subscribed).

Most important, Thing 3: I hope that you all are having a fantastic Friday and that your weekend includes some form self-care.

I was going to make a reel about this but here it is, I'm awkward, so you all are getting this information in a post 😆

I have had two clients just recently notify me of feeling nauseous on the massage table. More than one instance is enough for me to address it.

It’s not very common but it does happen and it’s usually your body responding to changes during the session. A massage shifts your body into a deeply relaxed state, which can feel overwhelming if you’re used to being in “go mode.” Increased circulation, deeper pressure (especially at the neck and abdomen areas or trigger points), or even lying face down for a period of time can also contribute to that queasy feeling.

Hydration and food intake play a role as well. If you eat before your session and you come in too full, if you don't eat at all and are too hungry or even being dehydrated can make you more sensitive during your session.

The good news? It’s typically temporary and easily managed. Adjusting pressure, positioning, or simply taking a moment to rest can make a big difference.

Remember, aways communicate with me or the therapist if you go elsewhere. Your comfort is part of the experience 🤍

In a world that rarely slows down, your nervous system is often working overtime, even when you think you’re “resting.” That constant hum of stress can show up as tight shoulders, shallow breathing, restless sleep, or just that lingering feeling of being on edge.

One simple, effective way to interrupt that cycle? **Deep pressure.**

Weighted blankets work by applying gentle, evenly distributed pressure across the body; something your nervous system interprets as safe, grounding, and calming. This stimulation can help shift your body out of a heightened stress response and into a more relaxed state.

Now imagine pairing that same calming effect with intentional mindfulness through guided meditation.

The Guided Stillness Ritual incorporates a weighted blanket with guided mediation to enhance relaxation and support your body’s natural ability to unwind. This grounding can:
• Ease physical tension
• Encourage deeper, more restorative breathing
• Support better nervous system regulation
• Help you feel more present in your body
Each session is designed to support mental clarity and emotional ease, making it ideal for those experiencing stress, overwhelm, or have difficulty unwinding. This is more than meditation. It is a structured, restorative ritual that creates space where your body feels safe enough to let go.

Because in a world that asks so much of you, your body deserves more than just “pushing through.”

It deserves rest that actually restores.

Book your session and experience the difference.
