It’s never too late to grow your own food!

Calendars. Frost dates. Seed schedules. Sure, I follow a plan. And I also flex.

Some of my onions failed to thrive.. ahem, I failed to water them when it was dry and they burnt out.

Today, while picking up chicken feed at my local seed and supply store, I saw the last of his onion bulbs.

Remembering the bare spots in my grow bags, I decided it would be better to buy a few more onions than to let the spots with dead onions sit there all summer.

So, I now have replanted some onions in the holes that were bare and hopefully increase my onion yields at harvest time. 🤞

A tomato customer ordered lettuce plants! So, now we’re back to seed starting again, lol.

(If you’re local and you want to place an order- I can grow pretty much anything you want 😁)

Besides lettuce sprouting, we’ve been planting out, potting up, and having fun with a variety of annuals, herbs, and perennials.

Oh, and the vegetable garden is actually starting to look like a vegetable garden, lol. Crazy spring.

My Sage plants are feeling very happy. I use Sage leaves for cooking and I dry leaves so I have herbs all winter. The flowers are also a treat for the pollinators!

Do you grow Sage? Did you know it’s perennial? I still have a few plants left for purchase (that I grew from seed).

Herbs are some of my FAVORITE plants to grow!!
