Living Sublimely Well

Living Sublimely Well Integrating holistic modalities to help you tap into the joys of life. That's Living Sublimely Well. What was I trying to do that humid morning?

Founded by Elizabeth Scala MSN/MBA, RN, RYT200 a holistic nurse, registered yoga instructor, reiki master, and plant grower

The Backstory...
At 6:38 AM, I flew over the handlebars and crashed to the ground, my bike pinning me under it. Too many things to name! Most of my career I was a non-stop, can’t sit still, mover and shaker. A successful nurse researcher, living the dream, and then…

BAM! Ev

erything changed. I fractured my elbow, required surgery, and developed complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). It took me close to six months to realize… there’s more to life than running the hamster wheel. With time & space for healing, I found truth in the saying, “Everything happens for a reason.”

I've left my nursing career for a healthier, happier life at Living Sublimely Well. I teach gentle yoga and qigong, providing healing modalities to the community. As a certified holistic nurse, yoga instructor, and plant grower, I help people stay accountable to the joys of living a healthy, happy life. Feel free to reach out. Patience, my friend.

So- my mom gave me this cactus in 2023 when we first moved in. I think she secretly felt bad for me, starting with a whole new landscape again.

It’s NEVER bloomed. Admittedly, I don’t have the best climate for a cactus- living on a floodplain. But I put it in the highest, driest place I could find.

Three years later- it’s FINALLY bloomed!!!!

The garden, like yoga, offers so many valuable lessons. Patience, being one of them 💛

HERBS

Local to Northern Baltimore County, Maryland

I LOVE to plant herbs around my gardens. There are SO MANY uses!!

Use the fresh leaves in the kitchen. Save leaves/sprigs and dry them out for long term storage.

Have chickens?? Did you know that herbs have a lot of health benefits for your flock?

You can freeze them in compound butters, infuse them in oils… they’re so versatile!

Or- since many of them are perennial (everything shown here is perennial, except for the Parsley, which is actually biennial), they’ll come back year after year.

Each herb has a unique flower at different times throughout the year. The flowers are POLLINATOR MAGNETS!!! Again, I have all of these herbs growing in each of my garden areas and they’re always filled with pollinators when they go to flower.

I actually use the Oregano as a ground cover to try and take over places that I don’t want weeds or invasive grasses.

Anyway- let me know if you want any herbs. Prices as pictured. Mix and match, as long as I have them available. There’s not many left, so don’t delay.

I’m located in Parkton. Hours by appointment at a time that is convenient for you. Cash only.

Send me a message to come check out the herbs while they’re available. (I’ll update the post when they’re gone.)

Last night’s dinner was 👌

Only complaint was I didn’t grab enough basil 💚

First basil harvest. Thinly sliced. Added to the top of our Friday night routine.

Sourdough discard pizza with homemade tomato jam and (wah wah) store bought cheese. Can’t win them all.

May your day be filled with beauty 🩷💛🩷
