Three weeks in silence with my partner - emerging with an engagement š«
Being in silence together was vastly different than being in silence on my own. It was the complete opposite of how we normally move through life together.
No words. No hugs. No acknowledging one another as we walked into a room.
It was a full test and breakdown of the ways we relate to one another - anchoring us back into the core foundation of our union.
Weāve always said our relationship with God comes first. Our relationship with our Spirit, our Self, comes second. And then comes our relationship, our union, with one another.
To say that is one thing. To actually put it into practice is something entirely different.
Nearly three years ago, before we started dating, William and I stood together at the top of the Tree of Life. For whatever reason, I reached out and held his hand as we gazed down upon the Kingdom below.
Little did I know that two years and nine months later, we would return to that exact place - this time, on one knee.
Weāve already had a few iterations of our engagement, but Iāve always said weāll make it public once weāve spoken our vows and thereās a ring we both love.
And every time William has gotten down on one knee, Iāve made sure to meet him there because I want us both to experience the humility that comes with devotion.
Neither above nor below the other.
Both on our knees. Both choosing. Both devoted - To this partnership as allies, as lovers, as friends, and as teammates.
I love you, William Warner King. Thank you for choosing me to stand beside you in this life - and for continuing to choose me š¤
