This Mother’s Day weekend, I planned a camping trip for my family. There were 25 of us, and it ended up being so healing for my inner child. 💗
I’ve always dreamed of experiences like this. Enjoying nature with family. Feeling safe in community. Creating the kind of environment I once longed for.
Of course, old emotions surfaced too, and I’ve been processing a lot this week.
One of the deepest parts of healing is realizing we were never meant to do life alone. We were meant to be supported by community.
But healing also changes the kind of community we choose. Not every village is safe. Not every connection is nourishing.
Inner work teaches you to stop abandoning yourself just to belong. And from that place, you begin creating relationships and family dynamics that actually feel supportive, grounded, and aligned.
I do this work so my children can experience more safety, joy, and connection than I did.
The healing we do for ourselves always ripples outward.
And if you’re a mama or caregiver longing for supportive community, you’re not alone.
Sometimes it takes time to build the right village. 🌿
