cers. This means the body jewelry we carry has superior construction, polish and material to make sure your healing process goes as smooth as possible! We sterilize each piece of body jewelry in a SciCan STATIM® autoclave prior to insertion (fresh piercing or not). Spore testing is performed monthly through Woodhouse Laboratories. Ask to see passing spore test results and/ or mill certificates for our body jewelry anytime, we will be happy to share! We utilize Kiwami Professional Piercing Needles -- The sharpest on the market. Our piercer and our tattooers work with disposable set-ups, so there is no chance for blood-borne pathogens to transfer. Our piercing department utilizes sterile gloves for every procedure. For tattooing, we use the most up-to-date machines, needles and ink from the industry's most notable and reputable brands. We also have a plethora of vintage coil machines or can even hand poke if you prefer. Walk-ins are accepted for tattooing, body piercing and jewelry purchases/ changes anytime during business hours. Our body piercing department is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Because of our walk-in atmosphere, you can expect a possible wait time. We practice an aseptic technique when piercing and tattooing. Booths are sanitized thoroughly between clients. We take cleanliness very seriously at Boomerang and sanitize every touchable surface in the shop multiple times a day. We offer ear lobe piercings to minors of age 5 and up. Minors age 14 and up are able to receive helix, lip, nostril and septum piercings. Minors 16 and up are able to receive conch, daith, eyebrow, forward helix, rook, scapha, tongue and tragus piercings. All other body piercings (including navel piercings, bridge piercings & surface work) are reserved for adults 18 and up. We tattoo minors of age 16 and up on a case by case basis. The legal guardian must be present for the entire tattoo, piercing or jewelry change procedure of any minor, no exceptions. Proof of legal guardianship is required (i.e. the child’s birth certificate), along with the minor's photo identification (government issued is preferred, but school issued is acceptable) and the guardian’s photo identification that matches the proof of guardianship documentation. If a name change has occurred, we will need documentation for that as well. Deposit Policy:
Deposits are generally non-refundable. Deposits protect both you and us. Your deposit locks your appointment in so no one else snags your spot. It also protects us in the case of no-shows or cancellations. When a client cancels or no-shows, without the deposit, we would be losing out on that appointment slot that another client would have gladly filled. It also compensates your artist for the drawing time that went into your tattoo. Rescheduling is allowed, but it causes us an inconvenience. We appreciate as much notice as possible. After the second reschedule, a new deposit must be made.
