Today we're putting the spotlight on Anna Hudson, PA-C, one of the wonderful providers here at Pea Ridge Urgent Care!

Anna has been a physician assistant for over 12 years, spending her entire career in family medicine and urgent care. Her focused experience shows in the care she brings to every patient.

We asked Anna what her favorite part of the job is, and here’s what she told us:

"I really love the people I work with. I enjoy working with a great team to take care of patients but also enjoy spending time with my coworkers and laughing with them."

Outside of work, Anna is a proud mom to three little girls, and she wouldn't have it any other way. When she gets time to herself, you'll find her traveling, shopping, or soaking up some time outdoors.

Temps have been high, and knowing the difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke could save a life.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency. Signs include:
🌡️ confusion
🌡️ very high body temperature
🌡️ hot dry skin or profuse sweating
🌡️ loss of consciousness.
If you suspect heat stroke, call 911 immediately

Heat exhaustion symptoms include:
🌡️ headache
🌡️ dizziness
🌡️ nausea
🌡️ heavy sweating
🌡️ feeling faint.
If these happen, get to a cool place and drink fluids. Seek urgent care if symptoms don't improve.

When in doubt, always err on the side of caution. Heat illness can escalate quickly

Today we are shining a well deserved spotlight on Dr. Alan Schumacher, Physician Supervisor, Owner, and medical provider at Pea Ridge Urgent Care! 🩺

Dr. Schumacher brings decades of experience in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine to our clinic, and his passion for patient care shows in every visit. We asked him what his favorite part of the job is, and his answer says it all:

“I love actually and truly taking care of patients health care needs. My favorite part of that is providing education and understanding (I probably talk too much). BUT, I also love the crew here at the Urgent Care. Everyone here is amazing and I can't say enough good things about them.”

When he manages to find some free time, he spends it with his family and pets, going bow hunting, playing tennis, or reading a good book. We are beyond grateful to have him leading this team.
