TASTE OF THE NORTH SHORE is the premier annual fundraising event of the Peabody Rotary Club. This year marks the 20th event and will take place on Tuesday evening March 19 from 6 to 8 pm at the Danversport Yacht Club. Over 30 restaurants will provide samples of food, drinks, and desserts. More than enough to make a full dinner and then some! There will also be a $10,000 raffle with a maximum of 300 available tickets. Restaurants, coffee shops, breweries and the high school culinary program are among those set to appear on March 19 at Danversport.

Rotary Clubs Outreach

Starting in June, 2022 we began offering free 30-minute educational Zoom presentations to Rotary clubs in Eastern time zone states. Since then I have had the pleasure of doing 276 presentations on early self-detection and prevention of melanoma, with more scheduled in the next few months. Melanoma Nightmare

“The unbelievable journey of Amanda Brown” documentary video.

The video contains highly disturbing content and is not suitable for children or anyone terrified of cancer.

The new 1-hour documentary chronicles the journey of ShaNaNa saxophonist Michael Brown and his wife, Amanda, from the time they first met until Amanda’s tragic death from melanoma. Nothing is held back in this heartbreaking love story, including images of melanoma tumors from Amanda’s first diagnosis to her final days.

Zoom Presentation for New England Rotary Clubs.

We recently expanded our outreach services to offer free Zoom presentations on early self-detection and prevention of melanoma skin cancer to New England Rotary clubs. Melanoma is often fatal when found late but is easily curable without chemo or radiation when found early. The American Cancer Society predicts close to 200,000 new melanoma cases in 2022.

Interested club program managers may contact us by email at [email protected] for more information and/or to schedule a presentation. The presentation is 30 minutes followed by 10 minutes for live questions and answers. There are no requests for contributions and no advertising either during or after the presentation.
