Foundations of Witchcraft will present a 13 month course of in-depth study which is designed to aid the student in developing and strengthening their personal magical and spiritual practice in genuine, meaningful, impactful, fulfilling, and most importantly, effective ways.

Though this course will dive deeply into the heart of what it means to be a witch, it is worth noting that the Craft as we will explore it in this course, will not be presented through the lens of Wicca (traditional or eclectic). Neither will it approach the subject from the viewpoint of Popular Polytheist Paganism. Within the breadth of this course we will cover the history and practices of witchcraft from a folk magical, and folkloric perspective. This places this course more in alignment with what some might term traditional witchcraft.

Additionally this course approaches Witchcraft from an animist, and spirit focused lens, with information, practices, and exercises designed to aid the seeker in establishing and developing deeper connections with ancestral spirits, familiar spirits, and spirits of the land. This will further be developed by guided exercises in hedge crossing/spirit flight.

Throughout this course we will establish regular practices for empowering our body, our mind, our breath, and our spirit. We will also discuss the creation of altars and hallowed spaces, the crafting and use of magical tools, the power of voice and invocation, and the creation of incenses, oils, and magical charms.

What are “fixed” perfumes and how are they used?

Unlike most off the shelf spiritual perfumes which iften do little more than smell nice, a fixed perfume has been mindfully infused with sacred botanicals conjured and allied to its purpose and namesake. They have also been prayed over and blessed for maximum efficacy.

These fixed perfumes are worn, added to baths and washes, used for dressing candles, and employed for feeding spirit vessels, talismans, and conjure bags.

Our Third Pentacle of the Sun conjure bags have been in the works for some time now and have been created to attract renown, glory, wealth, and success, as well as to command the respect and cooperation of others.

The fabric bears the image of the Solomonic 3rd Pentacle of the Sun of which it is said “serveth to acquire Kingdom and Empire, to inflict loss, and to acquire renown and glory” additionally it gives influence over spirits of a solar nature and grants the favor of angelic beings.

During the day and hour of the Sun this fabric was dyed yellow in a bath infused solar botanicals whilst prayers to solar spirits were recited.

Within the talismans are the solar minerals of citrine and pyrite. As well as botanicals such as bay, calendula, calamus, and others. Along with some of our powder of the Sun. This and all further construction and consecration of these conjure bags took place during the day and hour of the Sun and included various prayer and conjuration.

The finished bags were given their final blessing upon the Sun’s kamea which was inscribed in our chalk of the Sun. Each talisman was suffumigated in frankincense of the highest quality, and laid upon the kamea whilst surrounded by six candles dressed in our Oil of the Sun which burned as final prayers, conjuration, and consecration took place.

These conjure bags may be carried upon your person or in a purse. For best results you should hold them whilst praying for your desire aloud. And they should be periodically “fed” by either passing through the smoke of frankincense or dressing them with Oil of the Sun.

Only 36 of these talismans are available.

Spirit flight and shapeshifting are two abilities traditionally attributed to the witch across cultures and throughout history. Why is it then that these aspects are often all but ignored in contemporary witchcraft then? And how might we develop and utilize these abilities within our own craft?
