She thought it was “just hives.”

A young woman came to me exhausted from unpredictable flare-ups. Some mornings she woke up fine. Other mornings, her skin was inflamed and painful.

Antihistamines helped temporarily.

Steroids didn’t.

And the hives kept coming back.
