The office is closed this week, and I’m offering a few open dates the weeks following while I spend this time grieving with my family.

This is my Uncle Tony—the man who raised me as his own. Family isn’t always defined by blood, and I was fortunate to have someone who believed in me, encouraged my dreams, and taught me to always “practice what you preach.”

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I look forward to reopening full-time on July 20.

Anyone else completely invested in the World Cup right now? ⚽🙋🏻‍♀️

As much as I love the game, one of my favorite parts is watching people connect—families cheering together, friends texting play-by-play, strangers celebrating side by side.

It always reminds me why I love what I do.

Helping children find their voice and reach their goals—whether that's through speech, AAC, gestures, signs, or scripts—is about connection. And there is nothing better than watching that happen.

Now excuse me while I rearrange my schedule around kickoff times. 😅⚽

My favorite therapy moment today:

AAC helped my patient get specific.

Not just “eye”
Not just “white”
“2 white eyes.”

The more precise the message, the closer we get to what’s in the child’s mind.

The child used AAC to tell us he wanted “2 white eyes” for his Play-Doh ant.

When children have access to robust language, they can communicate more than wants and needs—they can share details, preferences, and ideas.

Communication helps ideas come to life. 🐜
