I love seeing resources like this come to our surrounding area. Hi, I’m Shaina — an occupational therapist who has worked with children since graduating, and I currently provide Early Intervention services (a free program for families with young children who may need extra support).

Through my work, I’ve realized how many parents are looking for simple, real-life sensory guidance — so I wanted to create a space where we can learn together. My goal is to share practical sensory ideas, answer questions, and hopefully help families feel a little less overwhelmed.

One important thing I want parents to know: having sensory needs does NOT automatically mean a child has autism. Every single person has a sensory system and their own preferences. I actually have ADHD myself and plenty of sensory preferences — which is part of why I feel so connected to the kids and families I work with.

Feel free to ask questions or share experiences — chances are if one parent is wondering something, many others are too ❤️
