Meditation Moment #282
Hi all,
Just a quick update—I’m doing quite well! I’ve returned to work at Wartburg (some) and was welcomed back warmly. I am happy man!
Meditation Moment #282 features a haunting quote from Simon Wiesenthal (December 31, 1908 – September 20, 2005), a Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor, N**i hunter, and writer who played a role in the capture of Adolf Eichmann. This is, without a doubt, the darkest of all the meditations I’ve done. It took me quite some time to find the right accompaniment, and when I finally did, I was grateful to have Cameron’s brother, Damon, there to help bring it to life.
Peace,
Jarv

Hi all,

It was 5 years ago today that Dr. Marvin McMillen, for whom I worked as a Medical Musician in the CCU at Berkshire Medical Center, arranged for me to meet Dr. Connie Tomaino, executive director of the Institute for Music and Neurological Function, housed at Wartburg. We talked. We clicked. She showed me around. In short, I am still there doing the “Jarv thing” and loving every minute.

Today as I continue to heal, I reflect with gratitude for my five years at Wartburg. The recreation staff, the residents, the administrators, the Doctor and nurses, the aids, the PT specialists, the maintenance folk, the volunteers, the people involved with food service, and the Chaplain all have included me as part of the Wartburg Family. It really doesn’t get any better. The caring and outpouring of love and support they have given me during this time of convalescence, has and continues to move me deeply.

By the way, I get my staples out next week, and all is well… yay.

So, this week’s Meditation Moment #279 is about gratitude. And may gratitude fill your spirit with healing love.

Jarv
