Meet Whitley Williams, Director of Sports Medicine and Head Football Athletic Trainer at Samford University.

Whitley and her staff start most days at 3 a.m. - taping, treating, preparing, and showing up for their athletes every single day. And on gameday, she says her mind never stops running through scenarios until she's back home.

"From the moment I wake up until I'm returning home, I'm processing - what happens if? What happens next?"

When an athlete goes down, Whitley goes straight for their face. She wants them to see someone they know and trust. And then it's straight to SidelinER - what she calls a safe, almost sacred space to care for athletes in private.

Before SidelinER, athletic trainers had two options - take the athlete all the way to the locker room or evaluate them in front of everyone while the game went on.

Neither one is good enough.

Jaclyn Donovan, Athletic Training Services Coordinator at Vereen Sports Medicine, said it perfectly. The locker room takes the athlete out of sight and makes the coach panic. Standing in the open makes the athlete panic. SidelinER solves both problems.
