Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile, energetic, and experienced Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. In this dual role, you will be the face of our clinic—managing front-desk operations to ensure a smooth patient experience—while also providing critical clinical support to our providers in the back.
The ideal candidate has a strong blend of administrative efficiency, hands-on clinical skills, and a compassionate bedside manner. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is required.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office (Administrative):
* Patient Coordinator: Greet patients warmly, manage the check-in/check-out process, and verify insurance/demographic information.
* Communications: Answer multi-line phone systems, handle patient inquiries, and manage clinic correspondence.
* Scheduling: Coordinate and optimize patient appointments and follow-ups using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Back Office (Clinical):
* Patient Intake: Es**rt patients to exam rooms and accurately record medical histories and vital signs(blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.).
* Phlebotomy: Perform safe and efficient lab draws (venipuncture) and process specimens for lab pickup. Help with IV infusion set up.
* Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers during minor in-office procedures and ensure exam rooms are prepped, sanitized, and stocked.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting (required).
* Knowledge: Strong foundational medical terminology and clinical knowledge are essential.
* Skills:
* Proven proficiency in phlebotomy/lab draws.
* Comfortable assisting with minor medical procedures.
* Strong computer literacy and familiarity with EHR/EMR software.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, multitasking abilities, and a high level of empathy and professionalism.
* Certification (Preferred but not required): Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
