We're so happy we could be there to provide immediate assistance! Prayers for a restful and speedy recovery!

Earlier this morning, a Williamston Police Department School Resource Officer Lieutenant was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic in front of Palmetto Schools on Hamilton Street. Fortunately, the officer sustained minor injuries and was treated and released from Pelzer Urgent Care Center.

The driver of the vehicle was cited and released at the scene.

This incident serves as an important reminder of the dangers officers face while directing traffic and working in school zones each day. We urge all motorists to slow down, remain alert, and use extra caution when traveling through school zones to help keep our students, staff, and first responders safe.

📢 Update to our previous post:

We will be opening at 10am tomorrow, 2/2/26. We will give an update if anything changes, but for now our office will be open at 10am.

⚠️ Due to potentially dangerous weather conditions and icey roads tomorrow, our office will be closed Monday 2/2/26. We hope everyone has a safe and fun snow day!

We will send out an update for our hours on Tuesday when it gets closer to that time, so just be on the lookout!
