When the goats decided to DRIVE 🐐💀

I was just sitting in the passenger seat of the golf cart, keeping Mike company while he fed the animals.

Adalyn was standing between my legs, and Michael was hanging onto the side of the cart…

when the goats decided they wanted to drive. 🐐💀

They jumped into the driver’s area, stepped on the gas, and FLOORED IT. 😳

We went straight through the electric fence and took off through the pasture.

I’m trying to hold onto Adalyn, keep Michael from falling off, grab the steering wheel AND avoid the cattle panels where we have Hamsteak. 😂

Finally, I managed to reach the brake and get us stopped.

And then I realized… about 50 feet ahead was a HUGE drop-off. 😳😳😳

Hilarious now.

Absolutely TERRIFYING in the moment. 😂

Just another peaceful evening on the homestead. 🐐🤣

Caught this handsome fellow on camera in our backyard the other day. 🦌

What a beautiful buck! There’s something so special about sharing our little piece of the outdoors with wildlife like this. Nature never fails to surprise us.

There’s just something so sweet about watching your little ones grow up alongside the animals. 🥹

This morning, Adalyn was right there beside Mama, helping with the morning feeding chores. She may be little, but she takes her farmhand duties VERY seriously! 😂🪣🌾

These are the moments I dreamed of when we started this little farmstead — muddy boots, animal chores, tiny hands helping, and raising our babies with a love for hard work, animals, and a simpler way of life.

One day she’ll be big enough to do it all on her own… but for now, I’m soaking up every second of my little farm girl helping Mama.

Look how BIG our Hamsteak is getting!! 🐷 He’s a whopping 47 pounds now! 😳

It feels like just yesterday he was our tiny 2.2-pound baby we brought home, and now look at him! 🥹🐷 He’s come such a long way!

A far cry from the teeny little 2.2-pound Hamsteak we fell in love with. 🥲 Time needs to slow down!!

Our second little farm baby is here! 🐣

One of our broody hens hatched her very own baby chick, and the kids are absolutely OVER THE MOON! 🥹🐥 Watching them get so excited over the tiniest little farm babies is one of my favorite parts of raising them on our little homestead. ❤️

Welcome to the farm, sweet little chick! We can’t wait to watch you grow. 🐣🌿

We’ve been a little quiet over here lately, but that’s only because we’ve been busy! 🐐🌱

Life on the farmstead has been full of all the good things—keeping the animals out of the ducks’ newly upgraded house (seriously, everyone needs to see the upgrades 😂), farm projects, gardening, baking homemade goodies in the kitchen, hosting harvest guests who quickly turned into friends, enjoying play dates, and soaking up precious time with Dad while he was in town visiting.

And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, we also somehow ended up adopting a few kittens! 🐱❤️

The days have been full, the to-do list never seems to get shorter, and the laundry pile is definitely winning, but we wouldn’t trade this season for anything. It’s messy, busy, beautiful, and exactly the kind of life we’ve been working toward.

Thanks for sticking around while we’ve been a little quieter than usual. We’ve got lots to share and can’t wait to catch you up on all the farmstead happenings! 🌻🚜

I knew the goats and pigs could eat up grass pretty quickly, but I was so excited to see what they’d do with some thick brush we wanted cleared. Look at this before and after — amazing!! 🤯

I’m officially a believer now… goats and pigs are seriously the ultimate land-clearing duo! Nature’s little bulldozers 😂 clearing bulldozers
