Healthy Start Connection

Healthy Start Connection Healthy Start Connection is a grant funded program focused on promoting positive birth outcomes and decreasing infant mortality.

Healthy Start works to ensure successful outcomes and confident parenting skills for all families served. Healthy Start was established to address disparities and the factors contributing to poor birth outcomes, the proposed scope of this project covers pregnancy through interconceptional phases for high-risk women and infants residing in the proposed project area and encompass the family support

system, including fathers and the community at large, as participants in education and outreach activities. The anticipated results will reflect a support system for a population of high-risk mothers and infants to ensure better birth outcomes, immunizations, family planning, well child visits, earlier entry into care, and addresses risk screening and assessment, goal setting, newly obtained skills, education and jobs to impact perinatal health resulting in better birth outcomes, health behaviors, and reduced risk for women about to give birth.

🍎☀️ Summer meals are back!

The Public Schools of Robeson County is proud to offer our Weekly Summer Meal Pick-Up Program throughout July to help keep children nourished while school is out.

✅ Available for children ages 1-18
✅ Registration required (one form per child)
✅ Pick up at one designated location
✅ Weekly meal boxes available from 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

📅 Pick-Up Dates:
• July 1 (Wednesday)
• July 9
• July 16
• July 23
• July 30

Families must register each child online at robeson.k12.nc.us.

⚠️ Children may only be registered at one meal distribution site. Multiple site pickups are not permitted.

Receiving a high-risk or potentially life-limiting fetal diagnosis during pregnancy can feel isolating in ways that are hard to put into words. The uncertainty, the medical decisions, the grief... it's an experience few people around you may understand.

PSI's Fetal Diagnosis Support During Pregnancy group exists for exactly this moment. Led by trained peer facilitators, this group offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where expectant parents can find connection and support from others who truly get it.

We have responded to the community's request for assistance at the pump via our recent survey!

While we so wish we could just provide gas cards to everyone, we had a funding limit that enabled us to purchase 250 Oliver's Oil Company gift cards at $50 each.

We had to prioritize who may be in greatest need of the extra help so we have narrowed it down to those who commute for work and those who need to commute for a medical appointment for themselves or another immediate relative.

Please share with anyone who could benefit from this program and we will do our best to help in every way that we are able in the near future!
