I have spoken to many women who have come into the studio for many of the services I offer who go on to share their personal journeys they have been through with cancer,
Diagnoses and treatments. The overwhelming words I hear are “but I was left feeling so incomplete”. Whether it be horrible scarring, hair that never returns or new breasts but with no ar**la and ni**le.
After all the pain, energy and strength it takes to go through any aspect of cancer, I cannot imagine getting to the end of the final surgeries and healing and feeling unrecognizable in the mirror.
Did you know that a woman with cancer or another serious illness is 6 times more likely to go through a separation or divorce? While there are so many reasons that could be, I always wonder what portion of the struggles comes from feeling unlike herself, less feminine, ashamed or embarrassment.
The services I offer are designed to make every day living simpler and more complete. But it also means so much more than that for some.
Completeness. Confidence. Femininity.
Those are the real reasons.
