3 Trackers of Ohio A volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of adaptive recreational sports to people of all ages with physical disabilities.

THREE TRACKERS OF OHIO began over 20 years ago when several people with amputated legs decided they wanted to share their passion for downhill skiing. Originally the group was primarily social, focused only on skiing for people that could stand. The term Three Trackers comes from the impression or tracks that a skier with an amputated leg leaves in the snow (one ski and two outriggers). Recently w

e have been able to add kayaking, paddleboarding, biking, and water skiing to the recreational activities we can share with individuals with disabilities. As equipment and techniques for adaptive skiing advanced, other adaptive methods were included. Several years ago, the group began acquiring adaptive ski equipment for people that could not stand or walk, but still wanted to ski. Volunteer instructors began learning how to use this equipment and teach others. This increased opportunities for people with more significant physical impairments. Three Trackers is now more focused on instruction and has a large collection of adaptive ski equipment and a host of skilled volunteers that can provide individualized instruction.

Day 1 of the Waterski Clinic is underway, and Mother Nature is finally cooperating! The weather has been fantastic, and our veterans are having an incredible time experiencing the thrill of waterskiing. Seeing their smiles, determination, and excitement out on the water is truly inspiring. Here’s to a great start and an even better weekend! 🇺🇸🌊☀️

Our adaptive water ski event is for every body. Never skied before? Perfect. Experienced? Great. As long as the athlete can safely pass the roll test (doesn't breath in water and can roll from face down to face up in the water) then we have the adaptive equipment for all experience levels! If the athlete is unable to pass the roll test, they can ride in the boat, ride on a float behind the boat and be pulled with a volunteer, or even just enjoy the water at the beach area.
