Kobe’s doing amazing!
We had MRIs & appointments over the month and everything is looking great!!
Kobe loves the doctor & check ups and that is amazing considering where he started not being so fond of the hospital at all.
shoutout to his oncology team , they are awesome🥰

One year ago today I called my boss and told her I don’t know when I will be able to come
back to work. One year ago today Kobe went to get his MRI and hours later I was called back to get the results. This was bad. This feeling was a feeling i’ll never forget. All they could tell me was my baby had a large brain tumor on his brain stem and he was being referred to a neurologist. Also we should pack a bag because they couldn’t tell me how long we would be in the hospital but assured me we would be admitted. I drove home and didn’t even know what to tell my kids. I had no clue what the future held. All I knew was I trusted God and knew he was going to heal my baby.
I’m so happy I am able to have the testimony I have today. One year later after tumor removal, shunt placement, chemotherapy and radiation my Kobe is cancer free.

The last year we have been so comfortable at
the hospital it’s almost unreal this is our last surgery. So thankful for the pediatric department at Sacred Heart ❤️

Kobe 2 years ago.
Based on the fact he was pretty much a perfect “normal” baby, walking and talking and progressing, you would never expect him to have had a brain tumor that was malignant.
You are your babies advocate 👏🏽💛💛💛
Don’t keep pushing. Demand for test and answers if you feel like anything is happening.
At the end is when Kobe started coughing and i’m sure he started to spit up. At this time I thought that was acid reflux / allergies / something to do with the milk? but it turned out those spells were due to pressure on his brain.

** i’ll be sharing all my memories as they come up going forward 💜
In time it was so difficult to document everything going on besides the basics so i’ll be using memories of last year to form our journey from the beginning.

Hey y’all!!
Thank you so much for keeping up with Kobe 🥰
I haven’t been to active on the page since we rang the bell and i’m making it a goal to continue to keep you guys updated along with providing support and hope to anybody’s who finds themselves in the same position.
Kobe is doing amazing. All of his hair has grown back. He’s back to his normal self but even better. It’s hard to re imagine what our daily life was like before diagnosis. I’m so happy we’re on this side of the journey because lord knows it was a longggg journey. We enjoyed a summer of lots of sunshine and water! God is so good. I’m not taking any of these moments for granted 💜
We spent last fall in the hospital and treatment centers and getting tons and tons of news we didn’t want to receive. I am so excited for this holiday season. Bring on the pumpkin patches sunflower fields and all the thingsss 👏🏽
