Sisis retail is officially closed for now.
Harm reduction and tattooing are still happening .
Sisi is a real person, my daughter . The store started 9+ years ago as a 14 year child’s hobby and grew into something much bigger than we ever thought.
Closing the store right now isn’t a failure, rather a choice.
Imagine if you were stuck day in and day out doing the same thing you did as a kid.
It’s simply the end of one chapter and the beginning of another, in the life story of a brilliant woman, still being written.
Sisi always had an entrepreneurial spirit.
At 10 she would draw pics and sell them to her adopted dad’s friends at cookouts, as they would drink she’d gather the pics laying around and resell them to the same men a few times. The drunker they got, the higher the price.
Then in middle school , she made a very good living ,as a pr***en , flipping candy to her classmates behind the teachers back. If the teachers confiscated the candy from her clients, she’d even relplace it no charge. Talk about customer service!
Before she left middle school, she had 4 years paid for college scholarships and had been accepted into the ib program.
And no as a family we had very little money or resources. I took care of elderly relatives and her younger siblings all the time. She did all of that on her own
Then she wanted to start a business at the fleamarket and she made it happen.
I can’t find any pics of her outside booth or her first indoor location.
Everything sisi has created throughout the years. How big it became for her being so young. Are the results of a brilliant human being.
She accomplished more before the age of 18 than most people do before they are 35/40 and she is still only 23
Sisi’s retail store, as it is today, is the chapter of her childhood. What her heart wants to do next, be it reopen bigger and better than before or something completely different, will turn to gold.
This isn’t the end, it’s a transition.
I’ve never been more proud of her.
