Felt so good to get back to HOTWORX after our Italy trip and squeeze in a hot yoga session! 🇮🇹➡️🔥
After walking miles and miles through Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Capri, and everywhere in between, my joints were begging for some infrared heat and stretching. It was definitely a workout—and I think I sweated out half of Italy. 🥵😂
I’ve also been working with a trainer at a gym closer to home to focus on strength training. An added bonus? Getting to work out alongside my sweetheart. 🥰
One thing I talk about often with my patients is that health is about so much more than hormones, weight loss medications, peptides, or supplements. Those can be wonderful tools, but they aren’t the whole picture.
We still need:
✨ Good nutrition
✨ Strength training and movement
✨ Lifelong learning
✨ Meaningful relationships
✨ Positive self-talk
✨ Spiritual health
✨ Purpose
It’s a full-picture approach to wellness.
As women, especially after menopause, we have to be intentional. We have to double down on the habits that keep us strong, healthy, and independent. And men—you don’t get a pass either. 😉
Working in hospice has given me a unique perspective on what truly matters. My goal isn’t necessarily to live to 105. My goal is to live fully, stay active, remain independent, and create as many meaningful memories as possible for however many years I’m given.
At some point, I made a decision: I am worth the effort.
