🌹 AUGUST BIRTHS | WILD ROSE MIDWIFERY 🌹

August was a short but oh-so-sweet birth month for us.

Two incredibly strong mommas — who also happen to be birth workers themselves — welcomed their sweet babies calmly, safely, and right in the comfort of their own homes. And apparently August babies were in a hurry because BOTH labors were under 4 hours from the very first contraction. 🤍

✨ Welcome, Elysian
Born in under TWO hours from the very first contraction. Mom labored quickly and peacefully while the rest of the house slept, and when it was time, Dad was right there to catch his sweet baby. Quiet, intimate, beautiful… absolute perfection.

🌸 Welcome, Odette
Born a little over THREE hours from the first contraction. And if you know this momma, you know her favorite place to birth her babies is in the bathroom. 😂 And you know what?! I’m completely okay with that.

After transitioning from the bed to the toilet, there was no wasting time — sweet Odette made her entrance quickly into Midwife Meagan’s hands.

And SURPRISE… IT’S A GIRL! 🎀

Two births.
Two powerful mommas.
Two peaceful home births.
Two beautiful reminders that birth doesn’t always have to be loud or complicated to be incredibly powerful.

Congratulations to these beautiful families. It is such an honor to be invited into your homes, into these sacred moments, and to walk alongside you as your families grow.

As we step into the last few months of 2026, we’re feeling incredibly blessed and thankful. It will never be lost on us that so many families have chosen us to walk alongside them through some of the most sacred and life-changing moments of their lives.

As fall approaches, your Wild Rose Midwives are officially back in school (again! 🤎📚), continuing to learn, grow, and pour into this work we love so deeply. We’re excited for everything the remainder of this year holds, and somehow, 2027 is already shaping up to be another beautiful, busy birth year!

The first half of 2027 is already filling quickly, and January is exceptionally full. So many of our January families are repeat Wild Rose families, and quite simply, we just can’t bring ourselves to turn away the families we’ve already had the honor of serving. There is something incredibly special about being invited back to walk alongside a family as they welcome another baby, and we never take that trust for granted. 🤎

As we move beyond January, we’ll be a little more intentional with our availability as we balance school, our own families, and continuing to give each Wild Rose family the time, presence, and care they deserve.

The biggest moments often happen in the smallest spaces. 🌹

This morning’s birth was such a beautiful testament to the power of listening to your body and allowing it to lead the way.

Yes, we birthed on the toilet. 😂
No, the baby did not fall in.
And yes, I caught her. 🤍

Her momma roared her down and out with every ounce of strength she had as her baby navigated her way earthside.

And as funny as the location may sound, there was something so sacred about that little space.

This is one of the parts of midwifery that I will never stop being in awe of. Sitting in the small spaces and feeling the power of birth completely fill the room. Watching a mother dig deep into a strength that is entirely her own while simply holding space for her as she does the work.

A hip squeeze. A hand to hold. Speaking encouragement over her. Reminding her that she is safe, supported, and strong. Leaning in and being fully present.

For those moments, however long they last, the rest of the world goes silent.

There is nowhere else to be. Nothing else that matters.

I just get to sit in that space and witness the incredible power of a woman becoming a mother—again and again.

And what an honor it is to be invited into these small, sacred spaces where some of life’s biggest moments unfold. 🌹

There are so many moments in this work that remind us just how loved and appreciated we are. 🌹🤍

After so many births, our families go out of their way to show their gratitude—not just with words, but by thinking of the entire team who walked alongside them. And every single time, it means more than we can say.

Midwives Meagan and Sheradia, along with our student midwife Maureen, received the sweetest gifts from one of our beautiful Wild Rose families, and our hearts are so full. 🥹

To be thought of in the tender days after welcoming your own baby into the world is something we never take for granted.

We love our families so much. Thank you for trusting us with your care, for welcoming us into your homes and your sacred spaces, and for allowing us to witness some of the most intimate and beautiful moments of your lives.

And to this sweet family—thank you for trusting us with the home birth of your beautiful baby girl. We love you guys more than you know. 🌹

One thing we work really hard to do at Wild Rose is make sure our families have access to resources that make mom life just a little bit easier. Sometimes that means education and support, and sometimes it means simply having access to the things you need without having to purchase every single one.

That’s why we’ve created a lending boutique of some of our favorite essentials for our community. 🤎

Here we have one of our sweet mommas checking out our babywearing lending rack — giving her the opportunity to try different carriers, find what works best for her and baby, and enjoy a little more hands-free freedom along the way.

Because supporting mothers is about so much more than prenatal visits and birth.

It’s about asking, “What would make this season easier for you?” — and doing our best to make sure the answer is within reach.

It takes a village, and we want Wild Rose to feel like yours. 🌹
