Fort Carson Performance Excellence Award winners.

Congratulations to Lisa Garcia for being recognized with the Performance Excellence Award for the month of March 2026.

Monica Erickson supervisor shared, "Lisa's unwavering commitment and “never settle” mindset continue to set a high standard for the team. In January she handled an impressive 1,265 calls demonstrating consistency and dedication to patient care. She also stepped up by volunteering to work the late shift (0800 – 1630) through February and extended 4 more days in March, helping the team maintain strong service levels. Lisa’s reliability and initiative make a lasting impact every day."

Jason Karoub was recognized with the Performance Excellence Award for the month of April 2026.

Angel Romero his supervisor shared, "Jason consistently maintains a positive attitude and focuses on doing his best every day. He is a significant asset to our team, building a reputation for reliability and excellence that directly contributes to our patient satisfaction."

The custodial team at our New Richey, Florida VA contract held a team member appreciation luncheon Friday June 5th. Recently, they received a perfect score on their customer survey! The team was recognized for their dedication and exceptional service with BBQ from Sonny's BBQ restaurant and several gift cards awarded via raffle.

Antonio Rios, project manager shared, "One special award was presented to team member Victor Flores for his service going above and beyond his daily duties. Particularly for his near perfect attendance in two years! He only missed two days last year and that was because of the hurricane damage to his home."

24 Project SEARCH interns across Northwest Florida are celebrating graduation and stepping into the workforce with new skills, confidence and experience.

Through Project SEARCH, a national transition-to-work program, these young adults with disabilities gained on-site job training to help them move from the classroom into meaningful careers.

June is PTSD Awareness Month!

It's important to raise awareness and support those affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

PTSD can impact anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. While effects may not always be visible, understanding, compassion, and access to support can make a meaningful difference.

At GCE we know the impact it can have on people, team members who served our country in the military often have PTSD. Together, we can increase awareness and foster hope for our team members and others in the communities where they live and work.

Congratulations to Fort Knox custodial team member of the month for May Teresa Robertson. GCE leaders shared, "Teresa is always willing to help her team not only achieve their goals but exceed their goals. Always has an uplifting attitude which is contagious with others around her.

Shayla Kendall is the Fort Knox Team Lead of the quarter. Leaders noted, "Shayla's leadership skills are outstanding. She supports her team and consistently exceeds performance expectations. Her dedication makes a meaningful impact across this contract site at Fort Knox.
