“Keeping Up with the Joneses” — A Family Legacy at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing
At OSF Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing, the impact of education often extends beyond the individual—it becomes a family journey.
For the Jones family, that journey spans generations.
Jeffrey Jones recently earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing this past May in graduation and serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the OSF Pain Clinic. His decision to pursue his doctorate at OSF was deeply rooted in both professional growth and personal connection.
“It was the best school,” Jeffrey shared, reflecting on an experience defined by strong support, a close-knit learning environment, and a culture centered on student success.
That same sentiment is echoed by Iryna Jones, who graduated from the RN-BSN program in 2024. Her experience at OSF College of Nursing reinforced not only her own professional advancement, but also a belief in the value of the College for future generations.
“I truly believe it’s the best school ever,” Iryna said. “The support you receive here makes all the difference.”
Now, the family’s legacy continues with the next generation.
Victoria Myagka (Jones) plans to begin her journey at OSF College of Nursing in Fall 2026, with the goal of graduating in 2028. Inspired by her parents’ experiences, she is eager to build her own path in nursing—one that includes continued growth within OSF, future leadership opportunities, and advancement into graduate education.
Together, the Jones family represents something unique: a living continuum of Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing—past, present, and future.
From earning advanced practice degrees to launching new careers, their story reflects the mission of Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing: to educate compassionate, skilled nurses who go on to lead, serve, and inspire.
And as the Jones family continues their journey, one thing is clear—their story is not just about education. It’s about legacy.
