Corn or callus? They may look similar, but they aren't the same—and knowing the difference can help you understand what your feet are trying to tell you.

Both corns and calluses develop from repeated pressure or friction, but they can appear in different areas of the foot and cause different levels of discomfort. If that thickened area of skin is painful, keeps coming back, or makes wearing shoes uncomfortable, simply removing it may not solve the real problem.

In our latest blog, “Callus or Corn? How to Tell the Difference and When to See a Podiatrist,” we explain how to tell them apart, what causes them, why certain home treatments can be risky, and when it's time to seek professional care.

If a painful corn or callus keeps returning, contact Roadrunner Foot and Ankle to schedule an evaluation. Treating the source of the pressure—not just the thickened skin—can help keep your feet healthier and more comfortable.

When you think of arthritis, your knees, hips, or hands may come to mind—but your feet and ankles can be affected too.

If you're experiencing ongoing foot or ankle pain, stiffness after sitting, swelling around your joints, or discomfort that gets worse with activity, arthritis could be part of the problem.

Our latest blog, “Is Your Foot Pain Coming from Arthritis? Understanding Joint Pain in the Feet and Ankles,” explains the different types of arthritis that can affect your feet, common warning signs, and treatment options that may help you stay active and comfortable.

Foot pain shouldn't automatically be accepted as a normal part of getting older. Finding out what's causing the problem is the first step toward treating it.
