🐴 Horse People Understand 🐴

If you’ve ever canceled plans because “the horse needs you,” spent your paycheck on tack instead of groceries, or proudly worn muddy boots into public… congratulations — you’re officially a horse person! 😂

Horse people live in a world that non-horse people simply do not understand. While everyone else is relaxing on weekends, you’re waking up before sunrise to feed a giant animal that somehow still acts offended by your existence. ☀️🐎

And let’s talk about the money for a second. Horse owners will say things like, “I’m saving this month,” while simultaneously buying another saddle pad because this one has glitter trim. ✨💸 Somehow, every trip to the tack shop turns into “I only needed fly spray” and ends with three bags, horse treats, and an empty bank account.

Then there’s the horse language. Horse people casually say things like:
“He was fresh, so I leg-yielded him into a floating canter.”
Meanwhile, normal people stand there blinking like: 👁️👄👁️

But horse people instantly know exactly what that means. It’s basically a secret equestrian code. 🤠

The best part? Horse people genuinely believe barn time is therapy. Feeling stressed? Go to the barn. Feeling tired? Go to the barn. Raining sideways and freezing cold? STILL GO TO THE BARN. 🌧️😂

And somehow, standing in mud while your horse wipes slobber on your hoodie actually makes life better. Non-horse people may think it’s crazy, but horse people know the truth: the barn is the happiest place on earth. ❤️🐴

Horse people also have a very special talent for treating horses like giant furry children. Full conversations happen daily:
“Who’s mommy’s handsome boy?”
“You’re so perfect!”
“Yes, you can absolutely have another treat.” 🍎🥕

The horse, of course, responds by immediately stepping on your foot. 😂

Vacations? Horse people don’t need fancy resorts. A peaceful evening at the barn with a coffee in hand and a horse nearby is basically paradise. ☕🐎

At the end of the day, horse life isn’t just a hobby — it’s a lifestyle. It’s muddy boots, early mornings, empty wallets, giant hearts, and unforgettable memories. And honestly? Horse people wouldn’t trade it for anything. ❤️

🐴✨ Tag your horse bestie who totally understands this life!

Healing boxes are as personal and unique as every person, because you fill them with what is most meaningful and healing to you. They can help soothe, nurture, calm, regulate, encourage and even empower.

I have found it's helpful to try to have something to engage all the senses, but again what is most helpful is to choose what feels right for you, because this is for you. ❤

My box was a gift from my daughter when she was little. In it I have a small heart shaped rock from the river, a prayer, a piece of bark from a mountain adventure w/ my youngest son, a letter I wrote to myself, a cross pendant, essential oil, healing memes, the first flower my son gave me, a small mirror with healing words written on it, a piece of dark chocolate, photos, a treasure from my husband, sticky notes and a pen. I can go through that box in under a minute and see, hear, taste, touch, smell and feel. It instantly grounds me. Sometimes after I go through it I’ll write myself a little sticky note and put it somewhere close, or in my pocket to read, reflect on and bring me comfort or strength.

A healing box can be for us emotionally, what a first aid kit provides for us physically. A healing resource to have ready when we need it. It's a powerful way to practice emotional self-care.

With compassion & love, Debra
