This girl has always been about the peekaboo look!

When I first started doing her hair, she pretty much let me practice whatever… we did SO many different styles! But she ALWAYS found her way back to that platinum blonde with a bold black peekaboo/perimeter 🔥

Today, she said she was ready for a change… she’s been rocking the lived-in look for a while now and wanted to brighten it up!!

So we did just that—but took it a little old school 😉

Some looks never go out of style, they just get a fresh twist!

So fun fact about me… I’m kind of a 3rd generation hairstylist

My grandmother was a hairdresser for nearly 50 years, and my mom even did hair for about two years (it just wasn’t quite her thing). But I very clearly remember my grandma still doing hair long after she had technically “retired.” She would be in her kitchen giving perms and haircuts to friends and family, and I always thought it was the most fun thing.

When my grandmother passed away in 2019, I inherited all of her hair tools, her cape, her shears, and yes… ALL of her perm rods!

I do a lot of perms, but I had never actually used her rods. They’ve just been sitting safely in storage all this time but with the move to the new salon, we needed rods, and it felt like the perfect time.

I can’t help but think she would be so happy knowing that her perm rods are still being rolled on hair and still part of the magic behind the chair. 🤍

A little piece of her living on in the salon every day.
