Ingredients:
1 ½ Cups of all-purpose Flour
3 tablespoons granulated Sugar
2 ½ teaspoons of Baking Powder
½ Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup of Milk (any type)
1 large Egg
1 Tablespoon Vanilla extract
4 Tablespoons melted Butter or Oil
10 to 12 Fresh Cut Elderflower Cymes with about 1.5” of single main stem left on it.
Instructions:
Measure the Flour out and add to the mixing bowl. Add the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then whisk well.
Preheat only enoughPeanut Oil (or any cooking oil) in a small and deep pot that would totally cover the height of an Elderflower Cyme (about ¾” of oil depth). Bring to 350 F Temp.
Add the milk, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry mix and whisk well until all clumps are gone. Now add the melted butter and whisk again until smooth.
When oil is at 350F, Dip the entire Fresh Elderflower Cyme in the batter by holding it by the 1.5” long single main stem. Let the excess batter drip off, then place in hot oil for about 2 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Then serve while still warm.
