Tomorrow June 8 10am at 135 West Tabb Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. We are currently seeking:
✅ Volunteers ✅ Donated lunch for volunteers
🌱We’re transforming an unused outdoor space into a peaceful, accessible gardening and life skills area for individuals with disabilities and our community and we need YOUR help to bring it to life! 💚🌱We will also be doing finishing touches inside the center as well.

Items we still need:
Shade Structure
* (4) 4x4x10 treated posts
* (3) Post mounting brackets
* (1) box Concrete anchors
* (1) box Lag bolts
* (1) box Exterior screws
* Black brackets/hardware preferred
* (4) S-hooks
* (4) Turnbuckles
* (1) set Mounting hardware
* (2–3) strands Warm white café/string lights

Garden Beds & Soil
* (4–6) bags Drainage gravel
* (15–20) bags Raised bed soil
Plants & Gardening
* (20) Plant labels
* (10) pairs Gardening gloves
Storage & Organization
* (1) Tool organizer

INSTALLATION DAY

• Installing raised garden beds
• Setting up shade sail & lighting
• Assembling benches & workbench
• Installing irrigation
• Planting vegetables & herbs
• Bringing the entire vision to life!

🪴 Hands-on learning
💚 Life skills development
🤝 Community connection
✨ A calming outdoor environment

🌱 BIG THINGS ARE GROWING AT THISABILITY COMMUNITY CENTER! 🌱

We’re transforming an unused outdoor space into a peaceful, accessible gardening and life skills area for individuals with disabilities and our community — and we need YOUR help to bring it to life! 💚

🛠 PHASE 1: CONCRETE REPAIR & PREP
📅 June 1, 2 & 4
We’ll be:
• Repairing damaged concrete
• Cleaning & prepping the area
• Painting / resurfacing
• Applying protective coating

🌿 PHASE 2: INSTALLATION DAY
📅 June 8
We’ll be:
• Installing raised garden beds
• Setting up shade sail & lighting
• Assembling benches & workbench
• Installing irrigation
• Planting vegetables & herbs
• Bringing the entire vision to life!

We are currently seeking:
✅ Volunteers
✅ Donated materials
✅ Skilled trades/services
(concrete repair, electrical, landscaping, irrigation, etc.)

This space will help create opportunities for:
