During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, our imaging teams in Petoskey and Cheboygan perform hundreds of mammograms using advanced 3D imaging.

Recommended for women age 40 and above, mammogram imaging is a critical breast cancer screening tool. Mammography equipment is designed to use the lowest radiation dose needed to produce clear images for evaluation.

This October, honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a mammogram. Early detection is key to treating breast cancer and gifts to the breast health funds make that possible. At our Cheboygan Campus, a new 3D mammogram machine and adjustable specialized chair are designed to minimize discomfort for patients and technicians during the scan.

Donor support makes it possible for McLaren Northern Michigan to purchase equipment and technology that helps improve care across our health system.
