There are some families and some birth stories that stay with you forever. 🤍

Listening to this grandmother share what it was like to support her firstborn daughter through the unimaginable loss of her baby is incredibly powerful. She was navigating her own grief while also trying to be a source of strength, comfort, and love for her daughter.

It was an honor to walk alongside this family during such a heartbreaking and sacred time. I am deeply grateful for the trust they placed in me and for the opportunity to support them through moments that no family ever expects to face.

Pregnancy and birth support does not always end with the outcome we prayed for. Sometimes being a doula means holding space in the unimaginable,being present, advocating, comforting, praying, listening, and simply remaining beside a family when there are no words that can make the moment better.

Thank you for sharing your perspective as a mother, a grandmother, and a woman experiencing grief of your own while standing beside your daughter.

Your granddaughter’s life mattered. She was here. She was loved. And she will always be remembered.
