My first professional position as a therapist was at a domestic violence shelter in West Chester. I have continued building upon this work since 2017. Im 11 years in and I've learned ALOT! I am incredibly proud and honored to be part of a project where women chose courage over silence and truth over performance. This anthology is filled with raw stories of pain, healing, identity, survival, grief, faith, and becoming. So many women decided to speak anyway — and that matters.

My essay, No Longer Serve a Pop Culture God, explores the intersection of faith , trauma, coercive control, and the deconstruction of toxic masculinity. It is deeply personal and rooted in the tension between performance and authenticity, silence and voice, survival, and self-reclamation.

As a therapist, writer, and human being, I believe stigma loses power when people are willing to tell the truth about what they survived. Stories create language for experiences many people thought they had to carry alone.

Thank you to every person who supported this project, shared it, purchased it, encouraged us, or simply listened. Watching women reclaim their narratives in real time has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
