Supervision, case consultation, and peer support groups are not luxuries. For weight-neutral dietitians practicing inside weight-centric systems, they are professional infrastructure.

If you have been reading this post and thinking this is exactly the tension I navigate every week — this is where that tension gets professional support.

Doors close Sept 6. DM me to reserve your spot.

Documenting BMI does not have to mean endorsing it.

Using these optiosn is not lying to the chart. You are documenting the full clinical picture instead of a single data point.

The accumulation of navigating systems that do not share your values, clients who have been harmed by those systems, and the internal conflict of trying to practice ethically inside structures that make that difficult has to go somewhere.

That's why I created The Clinical Case Circle (Sept 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th — from 7 to 8 pm ET). Four RDs maximum. Real cases. Real conversation. No finger-wagging.

You also receive a private one-on-one session with me — sixty minutes focused entirely on your specific clinical or practice growth edges.

Send me a DM for more info.

These two circles overlap every single day in clinical settings.

In that overlap you might find yourself:

Recording a BMI you know does not reflect your client's health
Documenting a weight-loss goal you did not set and do not endorse
Navigating a referral from a physician who expects you to put the client on a calorie deficit
Sitting with a client who has been told their pain, fatigue, or blood sugar will improve if they just lose weight

In my latest blog post (link in bio) I share a framework for recording required metrics while keeping the clinical narrative weight-inclusive.

If you have been reading this post and thinking 'this is exactly the tension I navigate every week' — The Clinical Case Circle is where that tension gets professional support. Send me a DM for details.

What they are trying to do is practice ethically inside a system that was not built with their values in mind — and do it without burning out, losing clients, or compromising the integrity of their clinical work.

The documentation question sits right at the center of that tension.

In my latest blog post (link in bio), I share practical, clinically grounded strategies for documenting weight-related metrics in a way that honors the system you work within while protecting your clients from harm.

You will also find language for the hardest in-session moments — including what to say when a client asks you to help them lose weight, and you know the story is more complicated than that.

Ready to stop navigating this alone? The Clinical Case Circle is a four-week, high-touch consultation group for weight-inclusive and weight-neutral dietitians who are ready to put the boulder down and do this work in community.

Send me a DM to learn more.

The Clinical Case Circle is for the weight neutral dietitian who:
— Is navigating a weight-centric system and needs language for the friction it creates
— Has been carrying clinical weight home because there's nowhere professional to put it
— Knows the philosophy but isn't always sure what to do when the room goes somewhere she didn't plan
— Is tired of going it alone and ready for a space that actually understands this work

Here's what the four weeks look like:
Four weekly group sessions — Tuesdays September 8, 15, 22 and 29, 7–8pm ET. We bring real cases, untangle clinical knots, and build language for the murky middle together.
One private 1:1 with me — sixty minutes on your specific clinical or practice growth edges.
A cohort of peers who get it. Not a large impersonal group. Four people maximum. Intimacy is the whole point.

Investment: $250.
September 8th is three weeks away. If this is the thing you've been meaning to do, this is the moment.

If you were in the room last night, thank you. What you brought mattered.

If you weren't, there's something available right now specifically for the RDs on my email list.

Not on the list yet? Two free ways in:

🌱 The Simple Session Framework — link in bio
🌱 From Struggle to Strength — link in bio

Both are free. Both were built for exactly the kind of RD who showed up tonight.

Come find us. 🤍

In a world of AI and virtual nutrition companies, the solo practitioner can feel like they need to be worried about having a job tomorrow. But, here is the thing, folks want someone who knows their story, their concerns, their unique community and can help them bridge from knowing to doing. The RD who stands grounded in her knowledge, her perspective and her own lived experience is standing at the edge of growing market. The key is to not get burned out and quit. The key is to get support from an experienced mentor. DM me for deets on my free webinar coming July 28 th. Let’s get you feeling confident rather than afraid.

From years of sitting with people in the murky middle of change and developing an almost instinctive sense for what a specific person needs in a specific session.

No dataset is large enough to replicate it.

And here's what I want newer RDs to hear clearly: the anxiety about AI is understandable, but it's pointed in the wrong direction.

The dietitians who will struggle in an AI-adjacent landscape are the ones who have been providing what AI can provide — information, meal plans, generic guidance — without building the relational depth that AI cannot touch.

The ones who will thrive are the ones who know exactly what they offer that no tool can match. And who build their practice around that from the beginning.

That capacity — to stay present, to hold complexity, to be a Navigator instead of a Fixer — is exactly what I'm opening a room to work on this July.

I understand why the question is there. The tools are getting more sophisticated. The chatbots are getting more conversational. And if you've spent years building a practice around something you believe in deeply, the idea that an algorithm might be able to approximate it is — at minimum — unsettling.

AI is genuinely good at some things dietitians currently spend a lot of time doing. And completely incapable of the thing that actually makes this work work.

Because the thing that changes behavior isn't information. It never was.

It's relationship. It's presence. It's the specific, irreducible experience of being witnessed by another human being who is also, themselves, navigating this.

That is not a feature that can be added to a language model.

I also wrote about what this means practically — and why understanding AI's actual role gives newer RDs a significant advantage in building a practice that lasts.
