INTRODUCING GLP-1 WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
When medically appropriate, prescription medication may be incorporated into your comprehensive weight-management plan. Note: GLP-1 and GIP are naturally occurring hormones released primarily from the gastrointestinal tract after eating. Both communicate with multiple organs, including the pancreas and brain, to help regulate appetite, blood sugar, and metabolism.
We offer medically supervised treatment with semaglutide and tirzepatide.
Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist that mimics the GLP-1 hormone. It helps regulate appetite, increase feelings of fullness, slow digestion, and support blood-sugar regulation.
Tirzepatide works through the GLP-1 and the GIP pathway. When activated, the GIP pathway helps support the bodys insulin response to meals and plays a role in regulating glucose and nutrient metabolism. Together, the GLP-1 and GIP pathways can influence appetite, fullness, blood-sugar regulation, and how the body processes energy.
