Recent events, such as the passing of the World Health Organization's resolution on emergency and essential care, have brought the indispensable role that surgery can play in preventing disability, disease, and even death to the public. t the rewards that come from successful programs are tremendous. The Penn Global Surgery Group seeks to explore and solve some of those problems by bringing people of all disciplines and backgrounds together. The mission of the Penn Global Surgery Group is to connect students, residents, and faculty with research, leadership and mentoring opportunities in global surgery. We organize educational events on the latest developments in the growing field of global surgery. Leadership:
