Join us for the Kensington Community Resource Fair on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Salvation Army Tabernacle, 3150 N Mascher St., Philadelphia, PA 19133. This is a free public event open to all ages, and no registration is required. More than 25 community organizations will be on site to connect neighbors with resources. Free health screenings available include prostate and colorectal cancer screenings (via blood test), provided through the Penn Medicine and Philadelphia Flyers Against Prostate Cancer collaboration, along with Hepatitis C testing and blood pressure screenings.

The Salvation Army will also be accepting donations of clothing and dry foods, with donation receipts provided, and will be signing people up for monthly Senior food boxes as well as the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions. Enjoy a special performance, a raffle, and giveaways throughout the day. We look forward to seeing you there!

As part of National Public Health Week, please join us for the Camden County Health Fair: The Colon Experience on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rutgers University-Camden, 326 Penn Street, Camden, NJ.

This event will feature free prostate cancer blood screening (PSA) and distribution of at-home colorectal cancer FIT screenings for eligible participants, along with health information, community resources, and interactive education focused on prevention and early detection. GREAT NEWS! Our Project Manager, Mallorie Jones, has been named a semi-finalist in Philadelphia Magazine's Health Hero Challenge! Mallorie started this work to help at-risk men in her community and ended up discovering her dad's prostate cancer in the process. She loves this work because she recognizes that every man is somebody's somebody and wants to do everything she can to keep screening! Please vote for her to win $15,000 for the PA Prostate Cancer Coalition so that they can continue the fight against prostate cancer.
