We had an incredible day at the I ❤️ CHOP walk, run and virtual challenge! Because of you all, we raised over $10k for research and families within oncology, pulmonary and general surgery!

We made new friends, saw a lot of our other medical families we know and love and were surrounded by our village.

6abc Action News featured a few snippets from our interview with Nick Iadonisi, who was a trooper and walked the whole 3k with us! Full clip below.

A quick catch up on all things Brody Bailey…

Make-A-Wish granted our trip to Disney and off we went on March 4th. We stayed at Give The Kids The World Village and they meant every word. The village is designed for families with wish kiddos(any other charitable organizations) and is 100% volunteer based. Everything is free…ice cream shop that opens 14hrs a day, a kid-inspired science lab, a carousel that in on demand for any child that wants to ride, an arcade, Disney character meet and greets, service dog days where we play with pups, horseback riding, the only Candyland playground (because the Hasbro family had a medical kiddo), themed parties nightly, and a ginormous tree house that houses a customized star for each child who visits where it will live for the rest of eternity.

I am usually not an overly emotional momma these days because not much can bring it out but I walked around with tears in my eyes at the village because I was truly in awe of the people who made it all possible for Brody (and Bryce). Volunteers, donors, past families, companies who donate their services… all to make each child feel so very special.

We truly experienced Disney (or as much as we could without passing out lol). The boys had a time and what we walked away with was a core memory for us all.

FFwd to March 17- MRI day. Brody continues to do better and better socializing and being the quirky kid amongst the staff. His MRI is more consolidated now and takes less time as a result.

Brody’s scans were still CLEAR!

We will rescan in June (MIBG and MRI) and have an in person visit with our team. After June, Brody will scan every 6 months 💪🎗️❤️.

We hope to see all of our friends and family on April 26th at FDR Park for the I ❤️CHOP run/walk at 7am!! if you cannot attend, there is a virtual walk that will span from May 1 to May 31. You can register now for either!!

Hi All!

We had a busy January and are living into the best “normal routines” we can for the boys!

We celebrated Brody turning 3 on January 13th. We celebrated collectively with Bryce at We Rock The Spectrum in Pitman which was such an awesome space!

We started weekly swim lessons at the YMCA and the boys are loving it so far.

We said goodbye to our foster pup, Mia, who went to her forever home and although the boys were sad, we were able to meet up with her and her new mom to hang at the park.

We received our packet from Make-A-Wish New Jersey for Brody’s Disney Wish Trip!!!

We were invited to present Brody’s medical journey at the I ❤️ Chop Foundation Forum alongside two other medically complex families. It was heavily emotional but such a beautiful experience to brag about Brody’s resilience and strength. It really rings true that you never know what strangers are going through and to exude kindness to those you encounter. These families are so special and so tenacious to have walked the paths they have.

This is why the I ❤️ CHOP run is so special to us. It resonates with Brody as being so uniquely special and not tied to one specialty. When you donate, it goes to the multiple specialities that follow Brody (through Hell and high water, might i say) and we value them so much and want to give back to other families starting out their medical journeys at CHOP.
